Ambrosi continues its international growth strategy.

On July 1st, 2012, Ambrosi along with its Swiss partner Emmi, acquired 100% ownership of the French company Diprola SAS.  Ambrosi currently had 25% ownership of the company.

Diprola, based in Avignon, is present in both the German and French markets and is specialized in the packaging of fresh dairy products. Known in the market under the name ETS Schöpfer SAS, Diprola focuses its activities in the packaging and distribution of Italian, Swiss and French cheeses, combining the consumer’s demand for freshness and convenience with a number of advantages in terms of quality and efficiency, thanks to the high calibre of technology.

The acquisition of this company is of strategic importance to Ambrosi as market share in fresh-packaged cheese has seen tremendous growth in the European market. With the acquisition of Diprola, Ambrosi can further increase its know how in this specific field of cheese packaging and at the same time can better exploit its export potential of Italian cheese by consolidating its position in the European market.
