An international company

Ambrosi S.p.A.

The group holding company, based in Castenedolo (BS).

It manufactures, matures and sells Parmigiano Reggiano and Grana Padano. It also produces and sells mozzarella and other fresh cheeses. Furthermore, it sells butter and other soft and semi hard cheeses  (like Gorgonzola and Provolone).

Abele Bertozzi S.p.A

It was founded in 1901 and it is highly specialized in the cutting and packaging of Parmigiano Reggiano.

Traversetolese s.r.l.

It is based in Traversetolo, PR, it produces and ages Parmigiano Reggiano.

Ambrosi France

It is based in Nice and it operates on a national basis in France, where it distributes cheeses, cold cuts and other Italian food and wine specialties.

Ambrosi Food USA

It was founded in 2006 and it distributes Italian cheeses in the United States.

Ambrosi UK

It operates in England thanks to the acquisition of Anthony Rowcliffe & Son Ltd, an English distributor of quality cheeses.

Prizes and Awards

World Cheese Awards

Parmigiano Reggiano produced in our dairy called “La Traversetolese” based in Parma, has achieved several awards at the World Cheese Award, a global event to whom more than 4,000 cheeses from over 40 countries are tasted and valuated. The awards include a “super gold” in 2017, a “gold” in 2018 and a “bronze” in 2019.

Legality rating

The Antitrust Authority has attributed to Ambrosi Spa a score of two stars out of three for Legality Rating, which promotes principles of ethical behavior in company environment through the assignment of a recognition with the aim of increasing safety and competitiveness in the market. The Rating was obtained for the first time in 2016 and has been maintained and renewed according to the contract.

Our goal

Keep producing and commercializing traditional Italian PDO cheeses, investing in the territory and involving local suppliers in the control of all stages of production, respecting the tradition, but also the highest standards of safety and environmental protection.
