Informations
Gorgonzola is a cheese with a long tradition, about whose origins there are many legends and anecdotes. Some believe Gorgonzola was produced for the first time in the homonymous place, near Milan, in 879 AD. Others say it originated in Pasturo, a village located in Valsassina, an area famous for its cheese making tradition and characterized by the presence of natural ravines, with a constant temperature between 6°C and 12°C, which represented an optimal environment for the production and aging of Gorgonzola.
